Shahenshah depicts contemporary reality in the raw, but within the broad frameworks of a big commercial film. With an adequate dose of every nuance in human emotions, sizzling song and dance numbers, the color of outdoor romance, the naughty tug-of-war between brother and sister, the comic twists and interludes, the operative style of the underworld, the connivance of police in perpetuating crime, the political interferance for the have-nots, the glaring dividing live between want and luxury, the pride of hoinesty and, above all, the blind eye of justice that lets criminals off when some clever lawyer twists it's arms, when evidence is tampered with, to frame an innocent, and let the guilty off the hook. Until a messiah emerges on the scene who is a self-appointed policeman, who makes his own rules, tries his own rules ---- Missing ---- underworld, and it's accomplices in the corridor of power.
