Synopsis:
The story revolves around an innocent village girl Roja who has a playful, peaceful life. Her quiet life becomes complicated when a man from the city comes to marry her sister, but marries her instead. She starts to love her husband. The movie won almost all the awards for that year and was the best movie released in early 90's. Manirathnam who came big in this movie proved that he is the best director in India which won hundreds of awards and its A.R. REHMAN's first movie.
