A father, Hazari Prasad, is desperate to find a suitable wife for his extravagant son Raaja. After meeting the daughter of a millionaire he decides to befriend her father, while pretending to be a millionaire himself. An engagement is arranged between the two fathers and their son and daughter fall in love. The plan, however, is discovered and the engagement broken off. The young lovers ignore the instructions of their fathers and continue to meet.
